March-August 2020

Toward the end of March, 2020 we set our efforts on assistant families throughout South Florida, specifically undocumented families and individuals experiencing homeslessnes. We realized these families were struggling to meet basic needs and beginning to experience food insecurity. We pooled our resources and began reaching out to our community in order to commence relief efforts.

Made possible by the contributions of local restaurants such as Swan, Papi Steak, Burgerfi, Chicken Grill, Coyo Taco, Pizza Gang and community donors, Style Saves was able to distribute thousands of meals throughout the summer of 2020. Shortly after, we opened a public wishlist containing pantry items and grocery basics. Donors and sponsors nationwide fulfilled the orders, Adriana Giraldo, a member of our Style Saves community, among other volunteers, received Amazon packages at her home in Homestead, FL, then distributed the groceries among undocumented families nearby.
