Style Saves hosted its 10th anniversary Back-To-school event on August 14th & 15th at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This year we changed the format of our event to a contactless distribution, and were able to provide over 10,000 students with necessities to succeed this upcoming school year.

Over 5 days, with the help of daily volunteers, we were able to package individual school kits for our largest number of students to date. Students from over 300 schools in Miami Dade and Broward participated, including various organizations such as Lotus House, Miami Dade County Foster Care, and the Guatemalan Maya Center.

“This past year has been difficult for so many families and we want to give the tools for success to as many students as possible this school year and always.”

-Rachael Russell Saiger, founder and President of Style Saves.

The goal of this annual event is to alleviate low income students and families of the financial stress of going back to school, while also ensuring each child starts their first day with confidence. Students received individual packages containing brand new uniforms, shoes, backpacks and school supplies.

“It's so important to continue supporting one another, now more than ever, and if giving students school supplies is how we support them, I hope we continue to do it for many years to come.”

- Isabela Grutman, Vice President of Style Saves

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who came, none of this would have been possible without your time and help. We’d also like to thank our sponsors, Pepsi, Go Puff, Rosetta Bakery, Mina Bistro, Taco Chido, CAO Bakery and Peekaboo ice cream.

“Style Saves began with the idea to unite fashion with philanthropy. Combining a talented, diverse community with a shared love for humanitarianism, the organization aimed at inspiring a fresh generation. Together with our fashion fundraisers, we host yearly events for kids, including Project Prom, Back to School, a Holiday party, as well as trips to disaster areas to make sure people in those areas have what they need. Setting us apart is our concept of charity through fashion, which inspires others to get involved and to give back.”
