SPECIAL PROJECTS- MASK AND ATHLETIC GEAR DISTRIBUTION

The ongoing support from our community has allowed us to plan and execute new ways of helping our students. Clothing brand Strata and the Miami Heat provided Style Saves with charitable donations of items that were needed at local Booker T. Washington High School.

Through donations, Style Saves received 10,000 facial coverings and athletic gear that were successfully distributed among students and the football team. As per Booker T. Washington’s athletics director Dr. Lisa Starks, “providing students with facial coverings and protective sports gear significantly reduces the underlying stress of lack of accessibility to these essential items and allows them to shift their focus toward their academic activities”. In the case of the football team, they were able to renew their protective clothing after many years, as well as providing every team member with their personal set.
