DISASTER RELIEF: HAITI

As we celebrated our Back-to-School event in Miami, a 7.2 scale earthquake impacted Haiti, shortly after the event had wrapped up and the Back-to-School kits had been mailed to the families that signed up; we began efforts to organize our inventory of donations: clothing, shoes, school essentials, personal hygiene products, water and non-perishables.
With the help of one long-time supporter and volunteer, Wally Jeanrisca, we were able to ship and distribute a container full of essentials for the students and families or villages affected by the aftermath of the earthquake. It is our purpose as an organization to provide students with the support needed to ensure that their academic journeys can continue as smoothly as possible, especially during a national disaster. Items were distributed to over 500 people
